Corner
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray,
seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear
from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal the Land. (II Chronicles
7:14-15)
Since the first act of sin that is recorded in the Bible (Genesis
5:12?) the land has been ruined and in need of much prayer. Today
– cities, houses and lives are being destroyed daily due to
the effects of drugs, alcohol, violence, sex, divorce, and many
other ills that are plaguing our communities, cities and worldwide.
Many if not all of this is due to the deceiver himself called Satan.
He has confused the minds of the saved and unsaved. He has come
to kill, steal and destroy the children of God. He is a wolf in
sheep clothing; he has made his dark angles appear as angles of
light, he has planted the tares amongst the wheat. Satan is busy
advancing his kingdom in this present world.
But we give Satan too much credit for every wrong we see and every
evil that is done. When the 911 event had happened we blamed Satan
for the destruction. When drive-by shootings and killings have replaced
education for a bullet. Cities that have more youth becoming cocaine
dealers rather than learning a trade to become productive citizens.
Our children who are being abducted only to be raped, abused and
used on the market for porn, and most being murdered. We need to
look at ourselves because it is we who are to blame.
Today’s Church Houses has replaced Holiness for homosexuality,
prayer has become secondary. Praise & Worship has been removed
for the worlds dance and political views. The fruits of Gods spirit
is missing from the Church House and our homes, schools, jobs and
even our hearts.
Love has walked out the door, peace has become war, happiness has
been placed with material pleasures and joy is only a sad tune played
on some church piano.
Instead of listening to the voice of God our ears are filled with
sin pollution! We need to swallow our pride and humble ourselves,
pray, seek Gods face, and turn from our wicked ways. The voice of
God and the WORD of God declares that he will hear from heaven,
and will forgive our sins and heal the Land.
Dr. King had a dream but it is my prayer for our land to be healed,
lives be made whole, churches become living water in our communities,
for Christians to press on toward the mark at all cost. For our
children to know who Jesus is and to make Him, their roles model.
All ethnic groups, gender, classes, religious folk to stop fighting
over whom is right and wrong. It is my prayer for crack to be nothing
but a crack in the wall, aids would be that help is on the way.
For us to stop fighting one another and fight the only enemy that
we have which is Satan.
Let us reason together, let’s bless and not curse, lets love
and not hate, and lets forgive and forget the hurt that someone
has done unto you. Let us pray for each other and bear one another’s
hurt. Above all let us reconcile ourselves as a community and as
children of the God to the only one who can heal.
